Hey Auntie Vera,
I enjoyed your show today, as always. I don't usually comment or email you... don't get down on what the nasty people say. They don't know what they're talking about. You're a great guy and put out a great show. I enjoy hearing about all of the movie stars you know--the real "stars".

Just curious, if you ever met Lucille Ball? Not sure if you ever mentioned it on your show or not. Anyways, my dad always told me a story of "seeing" her several years ago. Said she was very nice. He was on a tour bus of the homes, and she was outside in the yard and waved at everyone and talked to them. Anyways, just curious if you ever had any expriences like that with her?

Oh, also, on the voicemail thing--it's free--for anyone. Go to this website and you can learn all about it. It's actually really easy to use. http://www.k7.net/

Okay, take care, my dear sweet Auntie.

The 206 numbers that many podcasters use are provided by http://www.k7.net/ The service is good for podcasters because it's free, and it'll e-mail a sound file to you when you receive a message, and that makes it easy to insert the messages into your show. One thing to be careful of with K7 is that, if your voice mail number doesn't receive any calls within 30 days, it'll shut down and you'll have to get a brand new number. (You can easily keep that from happening by calling the number yourself, if necessary.) I used to use K7 until I lost my number. I've since moved over to GrandCentral (http://www.grandcentral.com/) for voice mail. GrandCentral has more than just 206 area code numbers and your number should never expire, regardless of how many calls you receive. It's also free, but it's currently in beta. It's owned by Google, and Google hasn't made any official announcements about its future, so that means that perhaps one day they'll charge for the service. But given Google's track record of providing free services, it's doubtful. In the time I've used it, GrandCentral has been great.

Auntie Vera I just wanted to say that I heard you on "Eat This hot Show" and I never really listened there before. It was a nice change. I enjoyed hearing the "real you". Dont misunderstand, I love the auntie Vera character, but sometimes all the "Lovie" stuff gets to be a little too much. Its nice to hear the real you once in a while. Keep it up!
