If my memory serves (don't say it), regarding Mr. Magoo, you are both right. In the early years of the tradition, we gathered on the Friday after TDay. But I started working Friday nights as a waiter (and NEVER worked Sunday night), so for many years we gathered on the Sunday. Then I moved and the tradition went dormant for a while, happily resurrected to coincide with the Traditional Tree Trimming Trip.
Please don't sing acapella ever again. Ever. EVER.
Hi Vera and Gooch:
One of my favorite movies is Love Actually. My father when he was alive love the movie. It was our favorite romance movie to watch. Great story and a great cast. You were also talking about Mr. Magoo? My mother always called me Mr. Magoo and Alfafa as a nickname to me when I was a child. Guess she was trying to be funny!Take care and feel better soon Vera and Gooch. From, The Good Humor Penquin.
The Streisand-christmas-CDs are not my favourites, but I am looking forward to all the christmas-music coming during the next couple of weeks
Chirstmas - is this a new festival celebrated only in the Charles household?
We love your show and refresh our browser hourly every Mon, Wed, Fri to listen as soon as each new episode is posted.
Vera and Gooch. Here's an addition to your holiday movies -- "A Christmas Memory." I just love this movie. You guys probably already watch it. But in case you or any of your lovies out there haven't seen it, here's the info: A Christmas Memory was adapted for television for ABC Stage 67 by Truman Capote and Eleanor Perry. The production starred Geraldine Page and Donnie Melvin, and Truman Capote was the narrator. Both the teleplay and the program's star, Geraldine Page, won Emmy Awards.[1][2] The production also won the coveted Peabody Award.[3] This production is available on video under such titles as ABC Playhouse 67: A Christmas Memory or Truman Capote’s "A Christmas Memory". This version starring Geraldine Page was also released in cinemas by Allied Artists in 1969 as part of Truman Capote’s Trilogy.
