Auntie, darling. Guess what I was doing this morning. I was out, running, while I was listening to your show (as I usually do), singing along the Friday-song (as I usually do), replying to questions you ask and commenting on things you say (and agreeing with you, as I usually do) along the way, getting strange looks for being the fatty who is running (some might call it walking, though, since I move rather slowly compared to the others, or wobbling) early on a Saturday morning, leaving behind a trail of sweat on the pavement, and mumbling to himself in a foreign language (English, that is). And when I heard your wonderful, kind and heartfelt words congratulating me to my birthday I had to stop, because I was so touched I literally was in tears (even though I myself have shamelessly dropped that random piece of information in your comment-section just a few weeks ago).
So I would like to take this opportunity to thank you (and your Conscience, of course) not only for your warm wishes, but also for all the time, effort, energy and talent you put into producing no less than three shows every week (plus one ETHS, which I figure you compile as well). Your work is highly appreciated and valued by me and my fellow lovies out there in Lovieland for sure.

And 18th birthdays I've celebrated a few, indeed...

XO

BTW, my screen name, Quinquin, is in fact a reference to a character from one of my favourite operas, Der Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss (who, as a little sidenote/trivia/funfact, is the only composer to my knowledge who put an intercourse into music and made it the opera's overture - at least that's my interpretation). Quinquin is the nickname of one of the opera's central characters, Octavian, a male character played by a female singer/actress, who, incidentally, has to dress up as a woman when he is caught in the boudoir of his elderly mistress in the first act after said intercourse.
Although drag is not necessarily something that I'd like to try, myself, I think this adds a certain element of camp to the role that I enjoy. It's very Victor/Victoria in that regard... I was listening to the opera when I felt compelled to comment on your blog for the first time...

I'm just now realizing how frequently I use the parentheses in my comments...
