Auntie, I liked the voicemail in the beginning, it reminded me how important it was to eat as much cooked-from-scratch-meals instead of frozen dinners and convenience-food (which are more expensive, fattier and oversalted and come with a large pallet of artificial flavours and flavour enhancers as well as preservatives that one wouldn't really want to put in one's body, anyway).
I would, however, encourage you to go a bit deeper into the high-fructose corn syrup-conversation, which I find very interesting. I think your husband has briefly mentioned why fructose was less healthy than glucose in terms of diabetes, once in a Gooch-a-Palooza, but I don't remember the details. I live in Europe, so I hardly have to deal with HFCS, my theory being that we subsidize sugar beets like the US subsidizes corn, therefore everything is glucose-sugared here, but still I'd be interested to learn more about the difference, especially in terms of health-risks...

Poor Vi! I hope they find a nice home for her with a good christian family, far away from salty winds and with a decent wifi-connection for her tweets.
Hold on to your memories Auntie, they light the corners of your mind...
